Located in the Yawata area at a slight remove from central Kyoto, featuring many great attractions: the World Heritage Site Iwashimizu Hachimangu Shrine; Yodogawa Riverside Park, famous for cherry blossoms in spring; Nagarebashi, Japan's longest extant wooden bridge, often seen in historical dramas; and the 45-kilometer-long Yawata-Kizu Cycling Road, extending from Kyoto Arashiyama to Nara. The area offers wonderful opportunities for appreciating history and nature. Please come to Yawata, and be sure to visit Shokado while you are here.
