I try to write to you our impressions about our experience with Mr.Tokuoka. Before the beginning of the Salone del Gusto, they said that the most important Chef in Japan comes in our hotel to make a dinner and we were very happy to know him, but at same time worried.
Working together we had start to know and it was great because Mr.Tokuoka he is simple but the he is simple the best the best looking for the better food the best to find out the taste for the Italian people with the ingredients of a foreigner country with the simplicity you can find the better goals. I and my staff are very proud to know him because we have had the opportunity to know the real Japanese kitchen well made and well presented.

We have work together and we have learned by each other that the passion for the kitchen, the good food it's always the same. If you have something to tell in your life it doesn’t matter which kind of job you do. It's the passion that comes out and in the kitchen I think it's the most important thing.
And Mr.Tokuoka had transmitted very much of his passion in the plate that have done in that evening. However we remember well also the unforgettable night that we have past together only who think in the same way, and only who believe that almost all its possible thinking about can do a good DINNER.
We have a good Souvenir about this Salone del Gusto, simple perfect him and his taste. We cannot forget his Mushrooms in the cup with white eggs and the Cod Fish and the Carpaccio of Italian meat in the Japanese style with potatoes pure crispy garlic and skin of chicken Wasabi soya sauce extra olive oil Ardoino.
I and my staff have had the opportunity to work with other Japanese Chef but with Mr.Tokuoka was the best way to think about the kitchen. This is another good reason to come and see by my self the great Japanese Kitchen.

Thank you for all
My best regards
Daniele

Chef Daniele Giolitto
Meridien-lingotto Torpedo restaurant

The Torpedo restaurant is one of the most evocative features of the hotel. Its name is a tribute to the extraordinary vehicle built in the old Lingotto factory. The Torpedo ''brigade'', led by the chef Daniele Giolitto, offers the most creative chef cuisine, based on recipes which combine the high quality Italian regional tradition to the avant-garde trends. The restaurant thus becomes one of the finest examples of the ''author cuisine'' and an attraction both for the hotel guests and the Turiners.
Daniele Giolitto has worked in some of the most renowned Italian hotels and has been the author of prestigious banquets. One example is the inauguration of the Giovanni e Marella Agnelli Picture Gallery. The Agnelli family invited to the event the most distinguished representatives of the international political and industrial world, such as Henry Kissinger.
